Modalities Offered:

Swedish Massage

Swedish is the most commonly known type of massage. It involves long, fluid strokes of the muscle tissue with pressure that varies from light to medium to firm. It is considered to be one of the most relaxing styles. While performing your massage, I will adjust the pressure according to your sensitivity and preference.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage, is deeper and more intense than the Swedish. This massage employs the use of fists and elbows along with slow, deep-guided strokes and firm pressure to relieve severe tension and reach below the superficial muscles. Deep Tissue is often recommended for individuals who experience consistent pain and soreness in both large and small muscle groups.

Prenatal Massage

According to the APA, massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains and may help improve labor outcomes and newborn health. This type of massage is similar to the traditional Swedish, while making some necessary adjustments for the comfort and safety of the expectant mother.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is extremely relaxing yet quite invigorating. Traditional basalt stones are messy, need to preheat in a crockpot, are lava hot and then quickly turn cold. Since I’m mobile, the stones I use are portable and battery operated. This means they maintain consistent temperature for the entire duration of the treatment. They feel much better and are more effective than typical stones. The heat melts the tension in your back like butter so those muscles can be worked more effectively. The result is deep relaxation and peace.

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is a no-nonsense massage that helps stretch tight muscles, stimulates inactive muscles and improves soft tissue condition. Sports Massage will help you move your body more freely with more flexibility and in time can improve your posture. As the name suggests it is popular with athletes, as it enhances performance, assists recovery and prevents injury – benefits we can all enjoy.
